What a great weekend!
The weather was warm and sunny. That humidity we all know and love is starting to creep in. Summer is here! On Friday night, I went to O'bryonville Animal Rescue's Open House at the new space in Madisonville. The kitties have a very nice home there, but I'm sure they would still like a forever home with humans. The I met up with Karen at Oakley After Hours where we browsed some shops and noshed at Hugo. Yummy fried green tomatoes!

On Saturday I joined Monika and some friends downtown for the AdMazing Race. It's like the Amazing Race as sponsored by AdClub, so AdMazing Race, get it? It was great! Our team won by a landslide. Not only did we accumulate a perfect score, we finished long before any other teams. You just have to play smart. And we did.

On Sunday evenings you can go down to Fountain Square for "Smooth Sundays" music on the Square. I went to help Suzanne sell drinks while jazz saxophonist Mr. Menenfield (I'm not sure I got the name right) entertained the crowd. And there was quite a good crowd. The weather was great, the music was cool, what a great way to wind down the weekend.
